Requirements: All licensees will annually attend and complete 32 hours over a 2-year period, 16 hours each year, of approved continuing education. The continuing education may be completed at any course or seminar elected by the licensee that is approved by the board. Only those topics listed as authorized procedures in §75.7 of the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners rules relating to authorized practices, techniques and procedures shall be acceptable in these courses or seminars.
Program Criteria: Board approves all sponsors and courses. Courses are sponsored by state or national chiropractic associations and CCE approved colleges. Contact Board for details and application.
Distance Credits Allowed: No more than 10 hours of 16 total CE hours required per year.
Other specific CE training required: 4 hours of CE that must consist of 1 hour in risk management; and 3 hours covering Board rules (including ethics, recordkeeping, documentation and coding), plus a one-time 8-hour course on Medicare.
